| Her energy and achievements have been noticed by those in the industry as well as local and state officials. Connie and the CVB received 3 letters of commendation from the County Executive; she served on Governor O’Malley’s Transition Team DBED Workgroup, and was twice listed by the Capital/Gazette as one of the top persons impacting the county’s economy. During all of this activity, Connie oversaw a $1.4 million renovation and expansion of the CVB offices and Visitors Center which was completed in October 2007, one month earlier than scheduled, and within budget. In December 2007 Connie began serving a 2 year term as Chairman of the Maryland Association of Destination Marketing Organizations. She was appointed by Governor O’Malley in October 2007, to serve a 2-year term on the Md. Tourism Development Board.and was re-appointed to a 3 year term in 2009. |

| Her previous real estate and advertising experience prepared her well for her position as Visitor Services Manager at the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County CVB. She is responsible for directing all of the volunteer information specialists, who greet 160,000 visitors annually to Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, as well as maintaining and managing all facets of the Visitors Center and information materials inventory. | |||

As Director of Sales, Bill is putting his leadership skills to use by forging strong partnerships with Destination DC and area destination marketing organizations. In addition to charting the course for the Sales Department, Bill’s primary responsibilities include developing aggressive strategies for achieving targeted growth in overnight group and leisure travel to Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. A native of Landover Hills, Maryland, Bill graduated from Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia with a double major in Marketing and Management. He and his family reside in Bowie, Maryland. |

After attending Penn State University and Geneva College, Jo began her career as a consultant for a public relations company developing and facilitating corporate sales trainings and government job training seminars.Her diverse work experience includes the hospitality industry, the Chamber of Commerce, the airline industry, the medical industry and the judicial system. Jo moved from the Pittsburgh area to Annapolis five years ago and immediately appreciated all the amenities that the historic, mariner city of Annapolis has to offer, finding Annapolis to be accommodating and unforgettable. | Through her marketing and partnership initiatives, Ms. Burke is thoroughly involved in diverse aspects of the CVB from business partnerships, community and consumer contact, and advertising and media contracts. Her responsibilities include managing the Bureau’s marketing efforts, such as advertising and media placement, implementing marketing programs, and building and enhancing the CVB’s Internet presence. | |||

Susan Steckman

| She went on to serve as Public Relations Director for the town of Ocean City, Maryland and as Tourism Director for Baltimore County, Maryland. After heading up her own communications consulting company in Salisbury, Maryland, Susan moved to Anne Arundel County in 2000 to market the Historic Annapolis Foundation. Four years later, she joined the ranks of the AAACCVB. Since that time, she has been encouraging members of the news media to tell the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County story. Ms. Steckman provides background information, images, leads, story ideas, and familiarization tours designed to give inquiring journalists a firsthand taste of the destination. |

Susan Parker

Susan further honed her luxury hotel experience while working as a conference service manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia. After being immersed in a service philosophy that provided the foundation for how she conducts business today, Susan went on to serve as director of catering sales at the Westin, BWI. Since joining the ranks CVB in July 2009, Susan has been cultivating new members and encouraging existing partners to take full advantage of their CVB membership by participating in projects and promotions designed to enhance their visibility and boost their bottom line. |
