Nearly 80 partners and friends joined the AAACCVB for its 21st Annual Partnership Meeting and Reception at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium yesterday. In keeping with the theme, “Tourism, not just a job, it’s an adventure,” the program recapped a shift in consumer travel that has individuals taking celebration vacations and nearly half of AAACCVB visitors spending 3+ nights in the destination.
Highlights of the afternoon included turning over the gavel to incoming Chairman of the Board, Robert DiPietro of RJD Consultants, and the presentation of certificates of recognition. Naval Academy Athletic Association Deputy Director of Athletics Eric Ruden accepted a certificate on behalf of Naval Academy Athletic Association Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk, and Anne Arundel County Director of Recreation and Parks Rick Anthony accepted a certificate on behalf of Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold.
In the educational arena, Ben Isenberg of Isenberg, LLC and Vantage Strategy’s Lane Douglas delivered the feature presentation that outlined ways of successfully identifying and measuring the return on investment of influence-based marketing.
