Thursday Concerts@ St. Anne': Phantom of the Opera – Silent Film

Like scary music on a pipe organ? Love classic movies? This night is for you. Have some Halloween fun this
year when the opera’s original Phantom makes an Annapolis appearance!

Movie and horror buffs along with anyone who likes to laugh will love organist Larry Molinaro’s musical
take on the 1925 silent film. His original musical accompaniment to this rare big-screen viewing includes
samples from some very recognizable pieces. Over the years, a special game has evolved from these
screenings – The Ballerina Twirl Count! See if you can count the number of times she twirls!

Afterward, find out how Mr. Molinaro created this score and how he plays it on St. Anne’s pipe organ with
a special organ “tour” after the film! Find out if Larry is a more colorful character than Lon!
