Celebrate everything Irish at the only festival of its kind in the region: The Annapolis Irish Festival. Enjoy traditional Celtic music and Irish rock bands on three different stages, along with workshops and exhibits. When you get hungry, try some delicious Irish beef stew and other Irish favorites. Little Leprechaun Land (open on Saturday only 11am– 4pm) provides pony rides, face painting and other free activities for the kids.
Since the Inaugural Festival in 2011, the AIF has become an Annapolis tradition, thanks to the support of the business community and the people who share our passion for the Emerald Isle and the magical Celtic traditions and music we hold so dear. On Friday evening, the Annapolis Irish Festival salutes the brave men and women who serve our country in the United States Military and our first responders. All persons with valid ID and one guest will be admitted for free on Friday, June 1. The evening will include the presentation of colors, pipe and drum bands and a music salute.
On Saturday (1-5pm), the best pipers in the USA will compete in both Irish and Interceltic music on the Great Highland Bagpipe. This contest focus son the aspects of piping that best entertain the public in a battle of virtuoso players . Judged by renowned local piper Bob Mitchell with help from the audience
