“BWI Marshall Airport had a strong 2009, posting solid growth in a year that saw a global drop in air travel; this level of success reflects the strength of this market, and the Airport’s reputation for convenience and ease of use”, said Governor O’Malley
“The successful combination of low airline fares, convenient access, and affordable parking make BWI Marshall the ‘easy come, easy go’ airport for Maryland and the entire National Capital region,” said Paul J. Wiedefeld, Executive Director of the Maryland Aviation Administration. “We are committed to a high level of customer service that travelers expect and deserve.”
Earlier this year, Airports Council International announced that BWI Marshall was the top performing airport in the annual Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey among worldwide airports serving between 15 and 25 million passengers. The annual survey program examines a wide range of services, operations, and facilities at airports worldwide. “This award reflects our commitment to customer service and to a convenient, efficient experience for BWI Marshall travelers. The annual ASQ program is an excellent resource for measuring how an airport is serving its customers,” said Paul J. Wiedefeld, Executive Director of the Maryland Aviation Administration.
BWI Airport is the preferred airport of the Annapolis & Anne Arundel Conference and Visitors Bureau.
