I remember passing by this old barn on rte. 258 heading towards work in Deale, MD. It caught my eye and I just had to turn around to get this picture. It couldn't have been a more clear day than that. It was beautiful. -- Laura B.
I took this picture on a nice spring day that is hard to come by these days. It seems the weather goes from winter to summer so fast. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. -- April L.
I walked over to the Naval Academy for a good look at the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team & ended up by the Robert Crown Sailing Center. I didn't know it at the time but this was where they went straight up & then, of course, Straight Down! -- Randy L.
I went on a day trip with my dad and brother to Annapolis and had a wonderful time. We took the 40-minute cruise aboard the Harbor Queen and I was surprised to see a yacht from Dover, DE where I am from. -- Pamela G.
Every summer weekend the Severn River is teeming with fishermen and crabbers early in the morning. This boat made a catch just as the sun was coming up. -- Christine E.
At a gathering in July at Mears Marina where my supervisor keeps a boat, my colleagues and I enjoyed chatting and watching the wind-swept boats floating around on the bay. -- Lisa B.
The leaves and paths around the capitol are so fun. You're not quite sure if it will lead you to a canon or a statue. -- Jodi B.
You can call me the wedding sniper. I couldn't resist taking the shot especially with the statue looking on. -- Jodi B.
*First place winner* --This photo was taken from City Dock after a beautiful morning run on the Naval Academy in August 2007. My husband, myself and our Black Lab were in town on a house hunting trip and we spent the morning recalling our love for Annapolis. We moved to Connecticut from the area in 2005 and after retiring from the Navy, my husband and I were anxious to call Annapolis home. Most Saturday mornings start with a run downtown and a stop at City Dock for a hot cup of coffee and the breathtaking views. It is wonderful to be home!! -- Krishna W.
My friend and I spent a lovely April morning this year photographing the Naval Academy and other Annapolis landmarks from our kayaks. -- Christine E.
