About U.S. Naval Academy Museum
As one of the most visited attractions of the Academy, the USNA Museum stands as a reminder of our country’s military history and prowess. Welcoming over 100,000 visitors a year, the Museum offers two stories of world-class exhibits covering the U.S. Navy’s development, its history, and the roles in which the USNA played to make the Navy what it is today.
Combining historical artifacts with interactive video/audio displays bring the stories of the men and women to life, giving visitors a brief look into the lives of the very first members of the United States Navy.
Located in Preble Hall at 118 Maryland Avenue just inside of Gate 3, the Museum is open daily and free to the public. At the lower level of the Museum is the Museum Store, offering a large variety of naval history books, prints, models, gifts and educational toys. Military discounts are offered providing valid ID and all sales are tax-free with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Brigade of Midshipmen and the USNA.
