US Naval Academy

Ever wonder what it’s like to be a midshipman? A tour of the U.S. Naval Academy gives you a taste of the 24/7 commitment made by the 4000-strong Brigade of Midshipmen. Established in 1845, the Naval Academy is the training ground for officers of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Daily tours departing from the Armel-Leftwich Visitor Center introduce you to the many traditions that go hand in hand with being a Navy town.

From noon formation, to formal parades, to Blue Angels flight demonstrations, the Navy presence permeates Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay. Midshipmen greet you on the streets, in our shops, our restaurants, and on the water. Whether you come for Navy football, the Navy vs. St. John’s Croquet Match, or Navy Concert Band performances at City Dock and Quiet Waters Park, you’ll catch a glimpse of America’s finest. And you’ll be the better for it.
