The Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau operates two Visitors Centers: the full service Visitors Center, at 26 West Street and a satellite Visitor Information Center at the Market House across from City Dock. These centers, staffed by more than125 volunteer Information Specialists, welcome over 170,000 guests each year. Contact us at 410-280-0445 or toll-free at 888-302-2852.
The West Street Visitors Center, open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day), is conveniently located adjacent to the Gotts Court Garage in Annapolis' Historic District. It's an easy walk from the Visitors Center to the shopping areas of Main Street, Maryland Avenue, and West Street. The U.S. Naval Academy, Maryland's State House and other points of historic interest are all nearby.
The Center is handicapped accessible, and is the starting point for a variety of walking and trolley tours. Come in for a comfort stop and to learn about the attractions, shopping and dining options available during your visit. Event calendars, brochures and maps are here for you, and we are happy to make accommodations suggestions and arrangements for your stay. The volunteer Information Desk crew is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic—learn the locals' favorite spots from these veteran insiders!
The Satellite Visitors Information Center at the Market House is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Located in the Market House across from the part of Annapolis' City Dock referred to as "Ego Alley", the Information Center is a popular stopping point. This is the place to learn about boat and walking tours, pick up a map and get an educated opinion on where to have lunch, the cozy spots serving oyster shooters, obtain solid advice on parking options, and get a bit of local color!
