Ballet Theatre of Maryland has released its schedule for the 2016-17 season, with performances of "The Nutcracker" and "The Little Mermaid" included on the agenda.

The curtain at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis is set to open for the ballet for the first time this season in late October with "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

Performances of the classic ghost story are scheduled for Oct. 21, 22 and 23.
