As the argument for fewer limits on Maryland’s craft brewers remains a hot topic, I decided to sit down with Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot to discuss his strong support of these local distilleries. During our discussion, Comptroller Franchot stresses the importance of craft breweries to the state’s economy and the Chesapeake Bay.
What better place to meet at other than Chesapeake Brewing Company on West Street in Annapolis, MD. This family run business has been around since 2008 boasting local beers that pair brilliantly with their surrounding nautical culture. Chesapeake Brewing Co. even created a beer in honor of Comptroller Franchot – called The Watchdog.
