Historic Annapolis has been giving tours of the William Paca House and Garden for decades, but this fall, visitors will have an opportunity to take a special behind the scenes tour, featuring areas and objects in the house that are normally off-limits.
This new tour is a great opportunity for anyone who has already seen the Paca House to get a more in-depth look at some of the aspects of the house and grounds that are generally restricted to the public. Possible stops on the tour include the Summerhouse, Bathhouse, and Wine Cellar. Tour guides will also give guests an exclusive look at artifacts from the archaeological work done on the site, as well as, artifacts from Carvel Hall, the hotel that once sat on top of the Paca Garden.
The 90-minute tour will be offered on November 12 from 10 am to 11:30 am. Admission is $25 General.
Admission and $20 for Historic Annapolis Members and Volunteers. Tickets may be purchased on the Historic Annapolis website at www.annapolis.org or by calling 410.267.7619.
This is a rare opportunity to step beyond the classic tour of the William Paca House. Visitors will have the chance to peek behind normally closed doors, explore unique features of the grounds, and discover hidden details and little-known stories about the history of the house and the restoration of the property. A special fall treat will await guests in the Summerhouse at the conclusion of this special behind-the-scenes tour.
