One of the most gorgeous architectural highlights you’ll witness in the City of Annapolis is the historic United States Naval Academy Chapel. Dedicated in 1908, the majestic dome of the chapel is central to the yard, and easily viewable from a Naval Academy campus walking tour or a stroll along King George Street in Downtown Annapolis.

Today, the chapel’s team of religious leadership provides guidance and support to the Brigade of Midshipmen, while also inviting the public to enjoy services to accommodate a diversity of faiths. The chapel is open to visitors most weekdays when not in use for a reserved special event, and its interior views are simply breathtaking. The Chapel was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961, and houses the crypt of John Paul Jones.
