You may know the Rams Head name for their intimate On Stage music venue – ranked the best under-500 seats in the country – that hosts incredible live performances on a nightly basis. Maybe it's the 100-plus beers being poured from around the world. But have you had the chance to try their food? Rams Head Tavern, along with Rams Head Group's other restaurants, have released new dining menus, offering patrons a finer take on the area's favorite dishes.

Although we always try to enjoy the music, beers, and food at Rams Head as often as possible, we at Foodie Annapolis recently had the pleasure (along with other local food groups like Annapolis Foodie, Annapolis Fork, and the Restaurant Association of Maryland to name a few) of being treated to a tasting of Rams Head Tavern's new menu on February 5th. While sampling a variety dishes which including braised short rib, lamb meatballs, and crème brûlée, we also had the chance to meet the men behind these new creations: Executive Chefs Peter Tcherkassky, a local living right here and Annapolis,  and Brian Dunbar, from Columbia.

While discussing the inspiration behind the newly items crafted, both chefs said they wanted to bring a finer culinary twist to the Rams Head restaurants; a feat they certainly achieved at Rams Head Tavern.

We only sampled about a third of the entire menu, but you can be sure we'll be back to try the rest.

A big thank you to Rams Head for hosting us and everyone else for a great night filled with great food!
