During Annapolis Arts Week, there will be plenty of opportunities to contribute to the culture and experience of visual arts in Annapolis. Whether you’re out to create some new pieces or just want to window shop, there is a place for everyone to enjoy what the artists of Annapolis have to offer.
One of the events running during Annapolis Arts Week is Paint Annapolis. Paint Annapolis is a week-long, juried painting competition that joins both artist and patrons is celebrating visual arts in Annapolis. On June 4 from 6:00-8:00 pm there will be Paint the Bay Reception at Annapolis Maritime Museum. This event is free and open to the public!
The following day on June 5th, beginning at dusk, artists will paint at Dinner Under the Stars on West Street and down for a block party where you can buy food, art, and others from vendors. If you're planning to expand your art collection, you’re going to want to be at the Collector’s Reception on Friday, June 7. Everyone who attends will receive a $50 discount on Paint Annapolis artwork purchased June 7-9 and an opportunity to meet with the artists! Then to end the week will be Mimosas and Muffins at Circle Gallery at 11:00 am June 9. Art will be displayed at Circle Gallery throughout the week but sales end at 4:00 pm on Sunday.
