Pasadena covers the northeastern part of Anne Arundel County, and lies 20 miles south of Baltimore. It is a family-friendly area with quality schools and many recreational activities.
Downs Park, located in eastern Pasadena all the way down Shore Acres Road, offers a playground, nature trails, dog beach, basketball courts, pavilion space, and public fishing pier. Fort Smallwood Park, a few miles to the north, has spectacular views of the Patapsco River from just about any angle in the park.
Golfers may want to visit Compass Pointe Golf Course in Pasadena, an 18-hole course with a full-service restaurant.
Pasadena also offers several waterfront event spaces, such as Kurtz’s Beach and Celebrations at the Bay, for weddings, reunions, and company parties.
Just down the street from these event venues, you can visit Hancock’s Resolution, an Anne Arundel County Historic Park. The site gives visitors an idea of what it was like to live on a small family farm in colonial times.
