Holiday Open House & Greens Sale

December 4, 2020

In the spring of 1825 Mrs. Frances Loockerman decided to create a very special boxwood garden behind her mansion on Maryland Avenue. The “box walk” was planted in the shape of a heart. Since 1953 the museum’s many volunteers have created special holiday boxwood wreaths. This year you can decorate your home for the holidays with our festive Boxwood Collection! Crafted from boxwood grown in the historic Hammond-Harwood House garden! On Friday, December 4 the beautiful carved front doors of Hammond-Harwood House will be opened and guests will be welcomed into the house to be the first to see the decorated rooms. The party will continue in the historic kitchen, where delectable festive treats can be paired with a variety of fine wines. Call 410 263 4683 extension 10 or email info@hammondharwoodhouse.org to reserve your unique Festive Boxwood Wreaths and Trees! Volunteer opportunities available.
