August is packed with summer fun, from cracking crabs at the Rotary Club of Annapolis Crab Feast and catching high-flying action at Nitro Circus to live music, waterfront adventures, and more.
Visitor Center Activities
All Month Long
Make the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Visitors Center part of your August adventure. Stop in daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays during Dinner Under the Stars, to meet local businesses, discover things to do, and get personalized recommendations for where to stay, dine, shop, and explore.
On August 13 and 14, the Chesapeake Roving Ranger from the National Park Service will be on-site sharing stories about the history, ecology, and culture of the Chesapeake Bay.
You can also contribute a canvas square to America 250: This Is Now, a community art project celebrating the people and places that make the region unique.
Don't miss the Be Revolutionary: America250 Exploration Trail, where you can visit participating sites throughout Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, check in, and redeem prizes while exploring the area's revolutionary history.
