Schillica Howard is the Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Banneker-Douglass Museum. Born and raised in Maryland, Schillica, pronounced "sha-LACE-uh," is passionate about Maryland's Black history and culture. She is an emerging leader in the field, as demonstrated through her positions on the American Alliance of Museum's Collections Stewardship (CS-AAM) Professional Network leadership team. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she is a member of her chapter's Heritage & Archive Committee, and she volunteers for the innovative Girl Museum. Schillica Howard was selected to be part of the Association of Art Museum Curators' 2021 Professional Alliance for Curators of Color.
