Springtime brings fresh art to Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. From solo shows to videos of art, this month is proving to be an art-lovers heaven. Take a look at our 11 Artsy Things to do Around Town in March:

Annapolis Collection Gallery is celebrating with Jay Fleming Saturday evening (March 10th), where this much admired and talented photographer will share with you his stories of his adventures that he has captured with his camera, which are now framed and on exhibit in the Gallery. Meet Jay at a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

Gallery 333 presents an installation by nature photographer Rick Dove entitled “Awe and Wonder” on view now through April 29.

MFA’s Circle Gallery presents its annual Mélange exhibits, featuring 24 MFA artists. The show includes photographers, painters, sculptors, and even a couple found object artists. "Mélange I” is open now through Saturday, March 10. “Mélange II” runs from March 14 through 24.

11 Artsy Things Mitchell Gallery

Mitchell Gallery, St. John’s College opens its spring exhibition, “Robert Indiana: Love and Hope,” on Thursday and it will be on view through April 22.

Maryland Hall will debut the first all-video art exhibition ever to open in Annapolis on March 14, and it will remain on view through May 5.

West Annapolis Artworks welcomes a fresh start to spring with bright new artists and a lot of bold cheerful color in "Creativity Blooms in West Annapolis”.  The exhibit will run through April 5.

The Galleries of Quiet Waters Park presents “Beyond the Line, Colored Pencil Released”. The exhibit is open now through April 1.

Maryland Hall hosts “La Traviata”, an opera inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ play “La Dame aux Camélias”. Purchase your tickets for the show on Friday, March 16 at 8:00 pm or Sunday, March 18 at 3:00 pm.

The Colonial Players of Annapolis presents “Sex with Strangers” written by Laura Eason. Performances run now through March 18; Thursdays – Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. Purchase your tickets here.
