The Maryland State Police invite adventure seeking enthusiasts to experience the coolest event of the year – the 24th Annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point State Park January 23-25, 2020. For just $75 in donations, plunge participants take a chilly dip in the Chesapeake Bay to raise funds in support of Special Olympics Maryland. Individuals not willing to bare it all are invited to join in the festivities – fully clothed -- in the Ice Lodge that includes live music, food, beverages and activities for all ages. A week of fundraising events and smaller plunges lead to the big splash. The plunge supports the 8,033 Special Olympics Maryland athletes who train and compete year-round.  Photos of the MSP Polar Bear Plunge.
