Submit Your Event

If you've got an event, we've got a platform to share it!  Please review our tips and event guidelines before submitting.

The Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County events calendar is aimed at visitors seeking leisure activities. It also informs potential visitors of all the exciting things there are to do in Anne Arundel County.

A good consideration is: "Would I do this while on vacation?"

  • All events must take place within Anne Arundel County.  Exceptions may be made if it is a high-profile event that is a draw for visitors.

  • All events must be open to the public; either with or without a charge. ( no “membership only” events)

  • All event submissions must fall into one of the following categories: arts & culture; black history; concerts & live music; dining; family-friendly; history; LGBTQIA; Naval Academy; nightlife; on the water; outdoors; shopping; virtual.

  • Examples of events not likely to be approved: fundraisers & charity auctions; networking events; consumer expos; trainings

  • Include a full description of the event and what visitors can expect.

  • Include a portrait-orientated high-resolution image (600 x 400 pixels) of the actual event when possible. Exceptions can be made for first-time events. Event submissions without an image will not be approved.

    • Photos cannot include ANY embedded or superimposed text.  Events submitted without an accompanying photo that meets these requirements will NOT be published.”

    • Event flyers—especially those with a lot of text—and logos are not ideal.

Please allow up to three days for your event to be approved and displayed on the calendar. For more information, or to edit any previously submitted events, please contact Christine McNichols at
