Bitty & Beau’s Coffee is slated to open at 124 Dock Street in downtown Annapolis in fall 2019 at the former Starbucks location. Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, Bitty & Beau’s is dedicated to hiring individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Founders Amy and Ben Wright started the business in January 2016 and named it after her 14-year-old son, Beau. He and his nine-year-old sister, Bitty, have Down syndrome. For Beau’s 12th birthday, the Wrights added his sister Bitty’s name to the business. Bitty & Beau’s Coffee is more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee – it’s an experience.
