What are The Great Annapolis Pumpkins?
The Downtown Annapolis Partnership is once again rolling out The Great Annapolis Pumpkins, presented by Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County. These giant gourds have quickly grown into a must-see fall attraction, perfect for snapping photos and making memories.
Each October, the pumpkins are handpicked from a regional giant pumpkin weigh-off, with many hailing from Atlantic-region farms. Tipping the scales at over 1,000 pounds, they never fail to amaze. Visitors are often shocked to discover they’re real, because let’s be honest, most people have never stood next to a pumpkin this massive. Naturally, everyone wants a photo op, and the pumpkins light up social media feeds with plenty of shares, selfies, and videos. Also proudly presented by The Maryland Office of Tourism.

When will the Great Annapolis Pumpkins be carved?
The pumpkins will be turned into Jack-o'-Lanterns on the Friday before Halloween (October 24th). Be sure to revisit Annapolis to see the area's largest Jack-o-Lanterns.
